Dear IBCO R1-75 Officers,

 

It is with great pleasure that I announce
that this Local is accepting applications for the 2008 IBCO Local R1-75
Scholarships.

It has
always been our position that Members come first. Given the structure of our
new Local in the IBCO we are able to not only more effectively control our own
destiny through direct Political contributions but we are also able to return
some of your dues directly to you in the form of these Scholarships.

Attached
you will find the Locals' Scholarship Application. The Committee has
established the following procedures:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants for the scholarships
must be newly enrolled for the upcoming school year or already enrolled in a
two- or four-year college, trade or technical school to be eligible. The applicants must be Members
of IBCO Local R1-75 or be the Members' spouse or children.

SELECTION PROCESS

Winners will be selected in
lottery drawings on May 31, 2008. Four names will be drawn from the pool of complete
applications received. Scholarship winners will be announced on the IBCO Local
R1-75 Website at http://ibcor175.org/

On May 31,
2008 we will Award 1 Scholarship via lottery from pool of Members who applied.
Three additional Scholarships will be Awarded via lottery from the pool of
Members' Spouses and their Children. If no Member applies for the Members only
Scholarship the remaining Scholarship will be chosen from the Members' Spouses
and Children pool.

The deadline for submitting applications is May 23, 2008.
